INTERVIEWING ARTIST REBEL SPIRIT ON HIS WORKS

What inspires your art?

Casablanca, my city and my first love. This city is a living show that never stops. The Lifestyle and the attitude of the people. The flavors of the street food and the noise of the traffic jams.

This is how I find my inspiration.

How does culture influence your work?

Growing up in Morocco and building his personality in the streets of Casablanca is above all a chance to have access to a background rich in urban history, in color and also in human adventures.

Do you have a certain colour scheme that you prefer? If yes what do the colors symbolize? The reality is that I hate following the rules of classical painting, preparing a color palette and limiting oneself to a predefined color harmony is part of it.

I find that the random colors I find in clothes on the street and how people experience their existence through color is still the best.

I love to take pictures of the crowd and extract color ideas from them.
