OYEKALE SEGUN'S WORKS

"My visual art gives voice to my emotions, feelings, imagination, thoughts, fears, aspirations, pains, my wildest wishes. I Represent objects as they appear to my mind's eye. I fascinated by people and their perceptions of life and even with their memories from childhood. My art reflects how our social behavior is often affected by the internal conversations no one can listen to. My paintings expounds what make up our uniqueness as humans and how to embrace and celebrate rather than abuse these differences.

My art reveals that our different skin colors, tribes or gender could be one of the biggest favour to mankind if we know how to make it so. My paintings exposes how our perception to life is often impacted by the ideologies we carry around in our heads. My art conveys the message of light and hope that guards man and his desires as he walks through life.

The theme of my works centered around "Lebenphylosophie."

My conversation and questions I ask people about life "Why are we here?", "What is life all about?", or "What is the purpose of existence?" What is the meaning of life?", pertains to the significance of living or existence in general.

I illustrate people's ideologies with lines and figures using different gestures on the face and body of the subjects in my artworks. Through visual metaphors, I comments on the realities of life. My artistic expression brings to light an in-depth understanding of the painting as they establish the relationship between man and his desires.
